Tina Lowenthal began her procurement career as a Buyer in the Acquisition Division at JPL in late 1986.  After successfully working her way up to Senior Contract Negotiator, she transferred to the Purchasing Services Department on Campus in January, 1996.  When she first arrived, she worked part-time in the Purchasing department as a Senior Negotiator and part-time on the LIGO Project.  Having two separate offices was challenging and by 1998, she was promoted to Assistant Manager of the Purchasing Services Department, and gave up her responsibilities within the LIGO Project.   By early 2001, she was promoted to Associate Director of the Purchasing Services Department.  She is now currently the Director of Procurement Services.

Tina received her Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University in 1984.  She received a Professional Designation in Government Contract Management from UCLA in 1989 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne in 1991.  Tina and her husband in La Crescenta with their two beautiful daughters, Hannah, 13-years-old and Sarah, 10-years-old.  On any given Saturday, you can find the Lowenthal’s on some soccer field in La Crescenta or Glendale!!!
